Golam Kibria, Founder of DMH Foundation
Meet Captain Kibria, the founder of DMH Foundation. He is dedicated to improving education and access to opportunities in underprivileged communities. Captain Kibria's passion for education began with his 2 brothers when they discovered how commitment to developing themselves through education enabled them to rise from economic hardships in Bangladesh to become established businessmen in Singapore and UK. Hence, besides running a successful ship chartering business, Captain Kibria made it his lifelong commitment to empower underprivileged individuals to become educated and be a resourceful member of the society.
Captain Kibria's leadership style is marked by his integrity, dedication, and deep sense of empathy for those in need. He understands that in order to inspire grassroots leaders and corporates to support the foundation, they need to feel confident that their contributions will make a real impact. Captain Kibria's track record of successfully executing on his foundation's mission, combined with his transparent communication style, has earned him the trust and respect of his donors.
Despite the demands of operating a business, Captain Kibria has been actively involved in the foundation's day-to-day operations in Singapore and Bangladesh. He meets regularly with local community leaders to understand their needs and ensure that his foundation's efforts are aligned with their goals. His commitment to building strong partnerships and his ability to foster collaboration has helped his foundation make a real difference in the lives of thousands of migrant workers in Singapore and villagers in Bangladesh.
